What is one HR/future of work trend or change you're not convinced will work for SEA startups?
Full WFA will not work. In Asian countries, building rapport is an important part of working together, therefore if you never come to the office to interact with others, it might hurt your career progression in the long-run.
What is one HR/future of work trend or change that you hope to see more of at SEA startups?
Involving HR in strategic discussion. Since most of the recent mass layoffs in SEA Startups were executed poorly, this was the impact of not having HR voice in strategic discussion. The other way around, for those Company which were able to execute the layoffs graciously were the ones who involved HR in strategic discussions.
