How would you describe your current role and the biggest challenges you face?

To qualify the impact of brand marketing in a commercial environment.

What is a common misconception about the work you do?

That we work based on intuition.

How did you get started in your marketing career?

I started as a marketing graduate before diving into brand consultancy and in-house marketing thereafter.

Describe the most impactful marketing campaign/project you've personally worked on.

In my previous company, we partner a Korean agency and ambassador to drive a brand aspiration campaign which seeks to educate our users on financial literacy and why it is important to spend within means.

What is one marketing trend or change you're not convinced will work for SEA tech brands?

I think we're still far from harnessing the true potential of AI. I'm not saying I'm not convinced but we need to think deeper and understand the complexities before exploring how to incorporate that in our work.

What is one marketing trend or change that you hope to see more of at SEA tech brands? And, why?

Similarly, I think there's so much potential in AI and how it can help to optimize our resources.

What is your favourite marketing resource that you would recommend to this community? And, why?

Alex Garcia, awesome resources with good frameworks to lay foundation for strategy and process development.

Lastly, where are you based, and where would you take friends visiting your city for the first time?

Singapore, and definitely local hawker places for good food rather than tourist traps!
